Safety Harbor Ghost Tours
Got Ghosts? Safety Harbor does…and we’ll tell you all about them…where they haunt and to what ends these spirits go to in order to make their presence felt by those currently living in and intruding upon their domain!
Join us for a nostalgic stroll through our charming tree-lined downtown once a Tocobago village and healing destination. Your guide will introduce you to the history, the folklore and the modern paranormal reports of this unique, storied community. You’ll hear tales of intriguing history, ghost stories, Tocobaga lore, ancient mounds, pirates, pioneers, Spanish Conquistadors, the “fountain of youth”, hangings, healing stories from our infamous five mineral springs, the mob, celebrity connections and recent reports of paranormal activity.
We conduct our tours with great respect for the, “out of body people”. After all they are no different from us – they are free of the physical world. Our tour will enchant, entertain and inform.
There is no way to predetermine if an other-worldly experience will occur on any given tour. Of course, there is no way to say that it won’t, either. Our promise to you is an informative, entertaining walk through Safety Harbor’s fascinating past and present. Bring your camera! Orbs and other phenomena are often caught in photographs.
Our tour is family-friendly and is a great choice for those taking their first ghost tour, or who would like to learn more about the history of Safety Harbor. This tour is an ideal first tour for the paranormal novice or first time visitor because it entrenches visitors with a wealth of knowledge about Safety Harbor’s past and the science behind hauntings.
Not only is your guide expert in the history of the city, she is fascinated by the paranormal and has had personal experiences with ghosts and other entities, sometimes during the tour! She has researched books, archived newspapers, talked to the museum curator, “old timers” and employees of the sites where the stories are told in order to dredge up the secrets of the past.
Each tour is 90 minutes long, total walking distance is about a mile, covered at a very leisurely pace with rest stops so that you can enjoy the atmosphere and energy of our quaint community. Wheelchair and stroller friendly.
